Texas Bucket List #2 The World’s Largest Flea Market in Canton, TX

IMG_7197

This past weekend I finally made it to First Monday Trade Days in Canton, Texas!! I have been looking forward to experiencing the ‘World’s Largest Flea Market’ since the very first moments I knew I was moving to Texas. I then planned on going in June and July however I missed it the first few times. Here’s the trick (Its not actually the weekend of the first monday of each month) it’s the weekend prior to the first Monday of the month.

To start I love East Texas, I hope to move to that area at some point. I like to get out of the busy DFW area as often as I can. I had ideas of what this market was going to be like. I thought that would be hit and miss. But I loved everything! I want to take a moving truck and furnish my entire house. I love anything rustic or antique.

While I was there I almost bought lots of things but ended up with very few. If you are going, make sure you go in the mindset “If you like it, buy it” you will always think you will find better options but once you leave you’ll get lost in a sea of stuff and never find it again!

I bought a beautiful vintage quilt and a piece of artwork from a local artist I fell in love with.

If you make it to First Monday Trade Day’s it won’t be your last!
